Yellowjacket Men Take A Win and A Loss.

The Yellowjackets had a dominating win early in the week playing against Bethany Lutheran Tuesday night. The Jackets put up five goals and blanked Bethany Lutheran. Ben Kasper had a goal in the eighth minute. Brian Grand scored just two minutes later off a corner kick and then tallied again in the 22nd minute to make the score 3-0.
Trevor LaRoche-Theune scored late in the first half and Gio Rodriguez finished the scoring in the 72st minute as the Yellowjackets (8-5-2) outshot Bethany Lutheran 31-6.

Saturday was a different outcome for the Jackets. Wisconsin-Whitewater’s Aaron Sesselmann made four saves to help shut out Wisconsin-Superior 3-0 Saturday in a WIAC Conference match.
The Warhawks scored once in the first half and twice more in the second, collecting goals from Alex Szarzynski, Austin Saari and Jonathon Fisher. UWS’ goalie Matt Elder made three saves.
Whitewater improved to 7-5, while UWS fell to 8-4. The Yellowjackets are back in action again for a home game against St. Scholastica Tuesday night.

 Yellowjacket Women Get Handed Two Losses.

YellowJackets started off their weekend allowing three goals in seven minutes during a 3-0 loss to Wisconsin-Whitewater Saturday in a Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference game in Whitewater.
The Warhawks’ Brianna Reid scored twice, once in the 10th minute and again in the 16th, and Carly Pottle tallied in the 12th minute.
UWS (3-12-1 overall, 0-6-0 WIAC) goalkeeper Kalea Hatlewick made 11 saves, while Wisconsin-Whitewater’s (12-0-3, 6-0-0) Jordan Myers and Emily Haeger each had one.

YellowJackets then went from a early lead Sunday only to lose it in the second half. The Jackets couldn’t respond to Alverno College’s five unanswered goals, en route to a 5-2 victory Sunday in a non-conference game in Milwaukee.
Katelyn Adams scored in the 10th minute and Taylor Piechocki in the 12th to give the Yellowjackets (3-13-1 overall) an early 2-0 lead. But Alverno tied the game by halftime and scored three more goals in the second half. Nava Moniriarani had a hat trick for the Inferno (8-7).
Alverno had a 22-8 edge in shots for the game. UWS’ goalkeeper Alexandra Paige had 10 saves.The Yellowjackets are back in action against UW-Eau Claire at 4:00pm Wednesday At Eau Claire.
