Yel­low­jacket Men Take A Win and A Loss.

The Yel­low­jack­ets had a dom­i­nat­ing win early in the week play­ing against Bethany Lutheran Tues­day night. The Jack­ets put up five goals and blanked Bethany Lutheran. Ben Kasper had a goal in the eighth minute. Brian Grand scored just two min­utes later off a cor­ner kick and then tal­lied again in the 22nd minute to make the score 3–0.
Trevor LaRoche-Theune scored late in the first half and Gio Rodriguez fin­ished the scor­ing in the 72st minute as the Yel­low­jack­ets (8–5-2) out­shot Bethany Lutheran 31–6.

Sat­ur­day was a dif­fer­ent out­come for the Jack­ets. Wisconsin-Whitewater’s Aaron Ses­sel­mann made four saves to help shut out Wisconsin-Superior 3–0 Sat­ur­day in a WIAC Con­fer­ence match.
The Warhawks scored once in the first half and twice more in the sec­ond, col­lect­ing goals from Alex Szarzyn­ski, Austin Saari and Jonathon Fisher. UWS’ goalie Matt Elder made three saves.
White­wa­ter improved to 7–5, while UWS fell to 8–4. The Yel­low­jack­ets are back in action again for a home game against St. Scholas­tica Tues­day night.

 Yel­low­jacket Women Get Handed Two Losses.

Yel­low­Jack­ets started off their week­end allow­ing three goals in seven min­utes dur­ing a 3–0 loss to Wisconsin-Whitewater Sat­ur­day in a Wis­con­sin Inter­col­le­giate Ath­letic Con­fer­ence game in White­wa­ter.
The Warhawks’ Bri­anna Reid scored twice, once in the 10th minute and again in the 16th, and Carly Pot­tle tal­lied in the 12th minute.
UWS (3–12-1 over­all, 0–6-0 WIAC) goal­keeper Kalea Hatlewick made 11 saves, while Wisconsin-Whitewater’s (12–0-3, 6–0-0) Jor­dan Myers and Emily Haeger each had one.

Yel­low­Jack­ets then went from a early lead Sun­day only to lose it in the sec­ond half. The Jack­ets couldn’t respond to Alverno College’s five unan­swered goals, en route to a 5–2 vic­tory Sun­day in a non-conference game in Mil­wau­kee.
Kate­lyn Adams scored in the 10th minute and Tay­lor Piechocki in the 12th to give the Yel­low­jack­ets (3–13-1 over­all) an early 2–0 lead. But Alverno tied the game by half­time and scored three more goals in the sec­ond half. Nava Moniri­arani had a hat trick for the Inferno (8–7).
Alverno had a 22–8 edge in shots for the game. UWS’ goal­keeper Alexan­dra Paige had 10 saves.The Yel­low­jack­ets are back in action against UW-Eau Claire at 4:00pm Wednes­day At Eau Claire.
