September Crime Report

INCIDENT SUMMARY REPORT
September 1 – 30, 2013

Sep 4th:
Officers responded to a request to check the welfare of an unresponsive student in Hawkes Hall. The
student, who was of legal age, was determined to be extremely intoxicated and was transported to the
Duluth Detox Center. It was later learned that there was a Douglas County arrest warrant for the
student’s roommate. The roommate was taken into custody and transported to the Douglas County Jail.

Sep 10th: Information was received that Douglas County had issued an arrest warrant for a student enrolled on
campus. The student was located in the Holden Fine Arts Building, was arrested, and was subsequently
transported to the Douglas County Jail.

Sep 11th: A staff member reported he had witnessed a vehicle in Lot #2 make contact with two other parked
vehicles and then leave. The witness was able to provide a description of the suspect vehicle and a
partial license plate number. A Campus Safety Officer located the suspect vehicle in another part of the
lot and later made contact with the driver. The two vehicles struck received minor damage and the
owners were agreeable to not pressing charges if restitution was made. The offending driver agreed to
pay for their damages.

Sep 15th: An Officer responded to a report of possible underage drinking in Curran-McNeill Hall. Two students were subsequently cited for Underage Drinking-first offense, and are subject to possible fine amounts of $263.50.

Sep 21st: An Officer responded to a report of possible underage drinking In Ostrander Hall. Five students were cited for
Underage Drinking – first offense, and are subject to possible fine amounts of $263.50.

Sep 26th: An Officer responded to a report of a female acting irrationally outside of Ross Hall. The female was
found to have been drinking and she had apparently received injuries from falling down. She was
transported by ambulance to the hospital and was later cited for Underage Drinking-first offense, and is subject to a possible fine amount of $263.50.
