September Crime Report

INCIDENT SUMMARY REPORT
Sep­tem­ber 1 — 30, 2013

Sep 4th:
Offi­cers responded to a request to check the wel­fare of an unre­spon­sive stu­dent in Hawkes Hall. The
stu­dent, who was of legal age, was deter­mined to be extremely intox­i­cated and was trans­ported to the
Duluth Detox Cen­ter. It was later learned that there was a Dou­glas County arrest war­rant for the
student’s room­mate. The room­mate was taken into cus­tody and trans­ported to the Dou­glas County Jail.

Sep 10th: Infor­ma­tion was received that Dou­glas County had issued an arrest war­rant for a stu­dent enrolled on
cam­pus. The stu­dent was located in the Holden Fine Arts Build­ing, was arrested, and was sub­se­quently
trans­ported to the Dou­glas County Jail.

Sep 11th: A staff mem­ber reported he had wit­nessed a vehi­cle in Lot #2 make con­tact with two other parked
vehi­cles and then leave. The wit­ness was able to pro­vide a descrip­tion of the sus­pect vehi­cle and a
par­tial license plate num­ber. A Cam­pus Safety Offi­cer located the sus­pect vehi­cle in another part of the
lot and later made con­tact with the dri­ver. The two vehi­cles struck received minor dam­age and the
own­ers were agree­able to not press­ing charges if resti­tu­tion was made. The offend­ing dri­ver agreed to
pay for their damages.

Sep 15th: An Offi­cer responded to a report of pos­si­ble under­age drink­ing in Curran-McNeill Hall. Two stu­dents were sub­se­quently cited for Under­age Drinking-first offense, and are sub­ject to pos­si­ble fine amounts of $263.50.

Sep 21st: An Offi­cer responded to a report of pos­si­ble under­age drink­ing In Ostran­der Hall. Five stu­dents were cited for
Under­age Drink­ing – first offense, and are sub­ject to pos­si­ble fine amounts of $263.50.

Sep 26th: An Offi­cer responded to a report of a female act­ing irra­tionally out­side of Ross Hall. The female was
found to have been drink­ing and she had appar­ently received injuries from falling down. She was
trans­ported by ambu­lance to the hos­pi­tal and was later cited for Under­age Drinking-first offense, and is sub­ject to a pos­si­ble fine amount of $263.50.
