Outdoor track and field season hampered by bad weather

The UW-Superior men’s and women’s track teams have been part of the of Yellowjacket spring sports teams to suffer schedule changes due to uncharacteristic spring weather in Wisconsin and Minnesota. The recent start to the Yellowjackets outdoor season has been hampered with cancellations due to poor track and infield conditions. The Jackets have competed in one outdoor event in Hamline back on the April 6 in St. Paul. The team recently had meets in River Falls, Wis. and St. Paul, Minn. cancelled due to the weather. The Yellowjackets will make the trip to La Crosse to compete in the Phil Esten Challenge this weekend. The meet was supposed to take place Thursday and Friday but due to weather has been pushed back to the weekend on April 20 and 21 on the campus of the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.
