Jackets bounce past Lumberjacks

The Yellowjacket men started their basketball season Thursday night with a huge win over the Northland College Lumberjacks. In an electrifying atmosphere the men showed what a long preseason can produce, wins.

The team was lead by Jarrod Peterson as he scorched the net for 25 points, including five-three point shots and an outstanding bounce pass to Aaron Corry who would dunk it home and get the crowd on their feet. Corry finished the game in double digits as well scoring 10 points in 19 minutes of action.

No other Lumberjacks were able to reach double digits in scoring and the stifling defense of the Yellowjackets held the Lumberjacks to 33.9 percent shooting from the field and a mere 23.8 percent from the three-point line.
